A few words about me
Hi, my name is Ilia, I was born in Andijan, Uzbekistan, and now make my home the beautiful land of Israel.
Since I was young, I learned to enjoy and appreciate the wonderful and diverse landscapes and
wildlife my country of origin had to offer. To further my understanding of the natural world,
I chose to study biology at the University.
My Grandfather was a professional photographer, so I was already familiar with photography at a
young age, but my big breakthrough was six years ago then I acquired my first digital camera...
My passion for Wildlife has led me to specialize in Birds - photography. In the autumn and spring
500 millions of birds pass through the Israeli skies on their way south (from Europe to Africa),
at autumn and the opposite way at spring. A lot of them spend a winter in Israel. This provides
a remarkable opportunity for capturing these elegant creatures in all their splendor.
I wish to share my passion and reverence for the natural world and its wild inhabitants with you.
